Worthing Division Honey Show August 2003

Go Back

This is the photographs that got Second Prize in the Worthing Division Honey Show, Class 15 Photography Section. The winner was Miss P Tilney."

I needed my frames very quickly as I had to get another super on my hive as soon as possible and as I was going away, that day was the only time I had to do it.

The problem was that they stunk of P.D.B. Crystals.

So I thought that if I drilled a hole on the corner at the top then strung them on the washing line the smell would go quicker than having to wait the normal way. I know they were okay to use after a few hours as the bees were going on them and were happy to do so. So, new super on and bees happy bunnies (or should I say bees)

So I thought what a good invention I had discovered.

All turned out well as they produced about 40 lbs of honey for me and a super for themselves for the winter for being so good to me in my first year of production. We won't mention the 4 stings and the trips to the hospital and doctors and the swollen hands and legs.

That is nothing as long as my bees are happy.

Forget biting the hand that feeds you !!!!!!
